Christen McDonough

Marketing Coordinator [Organization Optimizer]

“Never doubt a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead

Christen McDonough is a Project Manager at Keystone Resources, where she clarifies projects’ time, cost, and objectives, communicates clearly with both the project team and client, and ensures projects come together efficiently. She brings two years of corporate campaign management experience from the energy industry and thrives on collaboration and organization. You’ll never find her without her to-do list, day planner, or a cup of coffee.

Christen is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame where she received her B.A. in psychology and anthropology, worked as an undergraduate research assistant, and competed on the DI Women’s Swimming & Diving team. The highlights of her time at Notre Dame include presenting her psychology senior thesis and qualifying to swim at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials. After graduating, Christen moved to Houston, where her academic background led her to discover her passion for marketing. In her perspective, psychology explores the lens of individual differences through which a person sees the world, whereas anthropology examines how a person’s context in society influences their beliefs and motivations. Her career in marketing has allowed her to further explore this human element of business.

Outside of work, you'll find Christen outdoors on the running trails of Memorial Park and Buffalo Bayou in her Rice Military neighborhood. She loves exploring Houston’s amazing restaurant scene (especially for brunch), traveling to visit friends, and getting apartment décor inspiration while watching HGTV’s Fixer Upper.
